In partnership with FEMA Region X, join us on Monday, June 10th from 2:30pm – 4:00pm for part 2 of the Acquisition and Buyout Series. In this webinar, we will be joined by local, state, and Tribal floodplain management experts who will each share tips, perspectives, and things to consider for both why and how to develop an acquisition/buyout strategy. Topics to be covered will include:

  • Forming a vision and purpose for an acquisition strategy.
  • Establishing priority areas and parcels for buyouts.
  • Post-flood strategy development
  • Tool spotlights.
  • State and federal funding opportunities and considerations.
  • Equity considerations.

Come learn and share strategies for crafting a property acquisitions and buyout strategy, either in advance of or in response to a damaging flood event.
